I have a 21 year old timer names "Spike" he is doing pretty well and I guess I am doing right by him but us cat lovers always want the best for them. Spike is deaf and if he wants to know where I am boy does he shout for me. He is very affectionate and loves company.

I find he gets a little constipated sometimes and I try to get him to drink more but you cant make a cat drink more when they have had enough can you?

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on this and any natural things I can try.

I try to get him to eat a little oily fish but he is not a big fan.

Thank you for reading.

Any tinned food is good as it has high water content. You can also buy catlax which is very safe

I put 1/4 tsp Metamucil in Maccy's raw meat every night, but you could add it to any tinned food. It helps him stay regular, he does tend to get a little constipated.

I use a human grade liquid laxative and put it in Dootie's food each day.   I buy it from a local pharmacy.
