We've always had 2 cats at once for company etc, so after the disapperance of my much loved little girl we took in another boy kitten. I dunno if its a boy thing as the older boy bomber never talked to his sister but its like he speaks to the kitten. Its almost like he's trying to teach him things its so cute.

Little Dexter meows and squeaks at him & bomber makes this funny noise like a kookaburra who swallowed a machine gun! this is my crappy demo but typing doesn't do it justice - eh ehehehe eh ehe eh. (imagine if you will!) His head also bobs around like he's seen 1 too many stevie wonder/ray charles video clips. Bomber is very protective of Dex when we have play time out the back yard. Im there to supervise but bomb also feels the need to watch over the proceedings.

I realize they must comunicate some way but have never experienced this, its very funny. Does anyone have a similar scene? Will it stop as dexter gets older? I dont want it to its soo cute. Could bomber just be displaying his dominance in a less aggresive way than hissing?

Nup, mine aren't on speaking terms. smiley_lol.gif Actually, they do play together, but both only talk to us. They lick each other a little and sniff each other, then go their own ways.

sure will get the camera out. although they are of no specific breed so some may not think they are all that attractive. The lil chocolate drop is super cute, the white boy - eh kinda evil looking!

Nikita and Toby do sometimes talk but Toby is not a real talker really, he is a fairly quiet boy,

On the other hand Nikita is extremely vocal and will hold full conversations with us when Tobes wont talk to her,
Toby meows if he cannot see any of us or Niki and Niki will answer and go running to comfort him,

Cheers,Paul

yes mine talk to each other and to us and in fact to everyone! with 2 OLH and 2 balinese it is not stop cat chat here, what is really cute though is when the balinese come home from the show they start calling the big ones who I don't show as soon as we get into the house it is a different meow to usual and the big ones come flying out from wherever they have been and start washing the little ones all over. it is a really joyful reunion.

I’ve noticed this too. Monty will call for Dweezil sometimes if they’re in separate rooms. When I’m in the study sometimes I hear this slightly anxious call from the lounge room, and Dweezil bolts from wherever he is (usually behind the curtains on the window sill) and goes to find Monty. It’s so cute.

Dweezil doesn’t tend to call for Monty though.

My 2 are always talking to each other, myself and 2 kids. My DH just yells at them. heh.gif 1 is very naughty and talks to me from the other side of the bedroom door at 4 AM every morning. She is just wanting a cuddle in bed. lol.gif My DH can't stand it when I let them in to bed with me. Sheryl
