It is with great sadness that I write this............................
Lucilla left us today.
She was my foundation queen who I purchased as a kitten and had the great pleasure to watch grow and cherish.
She was a wonderful cat who looked at you with wise eyes and talked to you enough to hold a conversation . She was the matriarch of the house. All breeding cats, pets and kittens had to bown down to Lucilla. She was also the most fantastic mother and all her kittens got a bit of wonderful nature.
She turned just 3 in March this year.
Lucilla had a litter in February this year but did not seem to take it in her stride like she has done in the past and never seemed to recover. She was diagnosed with bowl cancer.
She died today while I was at a show. Our vet was with her at the end as he has been for a number of weeks now over her struggle. She left her mark on Doug as well. I cannot thank him enough to doing all he did for her
Lucilla will be buried in our front garden along with our wonderful Napoleon and beautiful Zoe - all of whom have been taken too soon.
Rest in peace now Lucilla - your fight is finished and you can go where there is no more pain or cancer.

Hugs to you. Im a bit lost for words. How sad for you to not be with her.
Be strong that she knew your love and that you can visit her special spot each day.
Her wise eyes will be talking to you from RB.
Winnie's candle on Tuesday will be for Lucilla to see you.

**HUGS**
I am soo sorry for the loss of your gorgeous girl
I am sitting here with my Blue Point Girl Stumpy staring up at me...she is my foundation Queen and has been retired for quite a few years now. Stumpy is 10yo, and I know when her time comes, it will hit me hard as well.
Darn these furries for getting their paws wrapped around our hearts!!

RIP Lucilla - you will be the brightest star in the sky.
I am so sorry Helen - I know how much she meant to you and you will always remember your precious girl.
Doug is a very special man/vet and I am sure he will miss Lucilla since he spent so much of her last weeks with her.
Hugs.
