I have found a very thin and matted Blue and cream lookalike bicolor ragdoll with a blaze.

This fellow is young, maybe 6 or 8 months old and is wearing a collar.

He is very friendly. I am in the North Western suburbs of Melbourne.
contact me by emailing me with a picture of the cat you are missing.

are you able to take him to a vet tomorrow and have him scanned. Hopefully he has a microchip. Most of the Reputable breeders here in Melbourne have all their kittens chipped. I hope you find his owners.Thankyou for taking care of him. He has been desexed Right

Hi Lis,
Please have the cat scanned as Pam mentioned.
I have been microchipping all my cats and kittens for about 4yrs, so hopefully this poor baby is chipped and can be reunited with their family soon.
Thanks for taking on the cat tho! You are very kind to do this! smile.gif

Ladies you have no need to worry he will be checked for micro chip this morning. It was too late last night to do any ringing vets etc, but I am so aware of how I would feel if I lost one of mine, that every effort will be made to find his real home. This morning I realised that he is probably only 5 to 6 months old and is very very thin. Probably has been lost for a week or so, as he is also filthy dirty and badly matted.

I will let you all know the results of finding his family over the next few days.

Oh, thank goodness he found you to rescue him! Poor baby. Hopefully he can be re-united with his family and that he accidentally got out and has not just been left out. Keep us posted!

Good luck. But yes, almost certainly NOT a fellow if it's a tortie... if he is then well, that's one rare raggy :P

Okay gals its like this, firstly he was not a tortie just a very dirty Blue bi color.

I rang all local vets this morning and left my number should anyone have lost him.
My vet told me to bring him in for Microchip scanning. I did so. Yes he had a micro chip.

The vet told me he would now be sent to The Lost Dogs home! I threw a tantrum and refused.
I just wanted to bring him home and wait for the person who owned him to come pick him up, but
the vets threatened me with being charged with stealing an animal if I did so. I have to say here,
I have never stolen anything in my whole life.

I refused to let them take him to the Lost Dogs home so they rang a central register. I spoke to the person there who said she would
contact the owner immediately and ask them to ring the vet to speak to me. They rang straight back to say
they had contacted the owner who would ring in 5 minutes. So I sat and waited and waited, for 3 hours.

Eventually the owner rang after 3 hours, spoke to the vet said they collect him in about 5 hours and hung up. No thanks to me.

Never ever will I return to that vet. I am so angry and hurt. I tried to do the right thing for the little fella and was treated so badly,
next time I have a lost cat I will not be going anywhere near a vet. I will just advertise locally.

This is a pic of the little fella, I hope none of you have breed him because I don't think he is in a good home.

He is at the vets as far as I know. I had to go to a Doctors appointment. I left him with the vets reassurance that they were going to pick him up from the vet in about 5 hours, at guess at least I saved him from going to the Lost Dogs home.

To be honest with you, I am so upset I am finding it had to even type. I will phone the vet at 7pm and see if they picked him up.

Lis

That's terrible, I can understand you being so upset. Thank you for going to all that trouble to find his owners, sounds like they don't deserve him no.gif

Liz, you did the right thing. It's terrible, the way the vet treated you. Don't let it get to you.
