Okay ladies, now I really need you to talk to your local breeders.

Seems the kitten was sold to someone in Broadmeadows who decided they didn't want it, they gave it away to someone else who lives 30km from here.

She finally admitted she didn't want it, so she picked it up and rang me. I now have it in my possession. Poor baby must have been dumped because he couldn't possibly have travelled 30 kilometres, especially since there are other towns between me and where he was given to.

Tomorrow I will take more pics and post them.

Lis

Is there anyway possible that the Breeder can be tracked down? I am sure they would want to know and would gladly take the little guy back and help him to heal physically and emotionally. I would be devistated if he was one of my babies.I would offer to take him but at present I would have trouble housing him as my new catteries are not erected yet. Maybe another Raggie breeder may be able to help if necessary.Thankyou once again for helping this little one. Just be careful to keep him away from your own furries as he has been wanderiing.

What a shame, poor baby!

Why didn't she just admit that he was unwanted in the first place? She could have saved a lot of hassle and, on your part, a lot of stress and heart ache!

I've only had my raggie for 3 weeks now and I wouldn't be parted from him!

Oh the poor baby! That is truly heartbreaking.

Lissy, thank you so much for caring about this little boy, you are his guardian angel and he is very lucky to have crossed paths with you.

I hope this story turns out to have a happy ending.

Oh Liz, what a sad story but how lucky he was that you found him. I guess now if you can't find the breeder are you going to keep him?

Have you spokento the people who have the micro-chip records - you might be able to find out where it was chipped as vets usually send in their details.....that might help.

Lucky little fellow that you came along and yep I think you are about to become a Raggie owner.... (again).

the is shocking, most breeders are comitted to their cats for life and would take them back in a heartbeat, one of my little boys was passed on a kitten but my breeder found out and went and took him back and placed him with us.
I think you maybe were found by this poor little thing.

Oh Lis, that is just terrible, poor little guy. Thankyou for your continuing care for him and I hope you can track down the breeder.

Oh, wow. I was wondeirng what happened with this little guy! Thank goodness he found you and I am glad that the owner actually admitted that she didn't want him rather than take him and let him roam again! How is he doing?

Thank goodness he found you

Seriously, what are the chances! He is a lucky cat despite all that he had to endure. He found the right person! Do you have any update?

I would definately try to track him down. he obviously isn't one of the CW breeders cats. There is also the possibility he is BYB, but was registered too... So good luck, but he is clearly very cute and i know he will have a home with you or someone else smile.gif

I'd take him if i didn't just get my new one lol...

No news yet, I have tried to contact the lady again to get health details and breeder etc. I want to find the first owner that way I can find out where he is from. He maybe a pet shop baby. He is in my bathroom separate from my 3 raggies at present.

3 weeks ago, I had to have my 17 year old tortoiseshell Jazzy helped to Rainbow Bridge as she had health problems. It broke my heart. Now I am thinking that she guided this baby to me. Those of you who know me. know how much I love my furkids. So I guess all being equal we will keep this baby.

I am worried though, why would 2 owners get rid of this kitten? Maybe he was lonely and got into mischief. He is by the way only about 5 months old.

Lis I am sorry that Jazzy had to leave you - she was a magnificent cat....and that must have been a sad day. Maybe you are right and this little fellow has been guided to be part of your family....and who knows why people do what they do.

I would have thought that if the kitten was from a registered breeder surely the people would have paid a price for it that would make them think twice about it being so readily disposable.....but some people are very odd.

Maybe he had an inappropriate peeing problem and maybe you will just never know. I hope you find as he adjusts that it was all just so you could end up with him.
