She might not be ready to eat- surely the vet will tell you when it is appropriate and take the tube out? Alternatively she might need some help.
If i was you, and the vet thinks it's ok, I would put some cooked chicken/mince/steak etc in a blender and make it into baby mush like you would do for a 4mth old 2 legger baby. I would soak her usual dry food in water and do the same thing, or even mix them together into a yummy paste... Then i would gently spoon just a tiny bit onto her lips so she can lick it up. Keep trying that for a little while and maybe in a few weeks she can start eating more chunky stuff (but moistened or soft only of course).
What do other people think?

What a very lucky meow, to both have survived and to have you caring so diligently for her!

Have you thought about getting some nutrigel? Vets do sell it, and there is another brand also and you can pick it up from pet places - its like a very high vitamin/calorie food, thick and black a bit like molasses - but very good for convalescing animals, and very easy for them to eat - simply either mix some with a little water,or just put it straight into the syringe and either way just syringe it in - I think 2 10cm strips - which is about 5ml? is enough to keep a 5 kg cat going if they don't eat anything else????
Hopeing she heeals quickly and easily
Liz
