Well today we finally had a chance to start to reassemble one of my catteries. We have had to remodel it quite a bit and still have a bit to do eg shelving .I miscalculated the size of the slab I needed which has made things a little difficult but I think it is coming together ok. It will be a work in progress and I will have to extend when finances permit. It took us 9 hours to get this far and we are both so tired. The roof was a nightmare to put on as we had to cut it to size.If anyone has any suggestion I would be thrilled to hear them.

Pam,
You have done well, its amazing what a good day can bring out of us and what we can accomplish, yes.gif
I cannot help with the roof without being there but sounds like it can be sorted with some design and an angle grinder,
Dont worry if the slab is too big, leaves room for futer expansion,

Cheers,paul

Paul the slab is actually not big enough as I have another enclosure to go on there as well and I was hoping for a free roaming area as well. We will have to extend but will probably do it with pavers or bricks for the time being. Everything has bolted together but boy was it hard lots of swearing today as it just didn't want to fit together. This enclosure has been moved for the last time.

great work! Seems a productive day for a few people around CW today.

I can imagine how frustrating it would have been! I have no idea with the roof thing but think you did a fantastic job getting it re-assembled. I would have no idea where to start lol!

Pam you are going great guns....a lot of work always when one moves home.......your guys will be happy to have their outside enclosures up and running.

I have nearly replaced the cattery I had here that you walked way with - not as sturdy but in the same area. This time I have 3 pens not 4 and there is no roof at the rafters - just chicken wire up to and across the rafters.

Bunnings have some nice plastic coated wire that is dark green - $77 a 10 metre roll which I used to extend above the 6 foot height. Each pen has dark green plastic garden chairs, the same colour plastic garden tables - very suited for shelves and benches - most expensive part was paying the handiman to put it all together.....

Great work Pam. I was thinking along the same lines as Paul, I could see that the slab was larger than the enclosure. But reading your comment about the 2nd enclosure clarified. It's looking very nice, and I am sure it is quite a bit or work.

Pam, you guys have done so well and I can imagine the frustrating & swearing. I know you need to put pavers in to fill that area, but I think it will be fine provided you make that end as snake-proof as possible. Not sure about the roof but if you email me exactly what the problem is and with piccys or diagrams, I'll ask here and see what he thinks.
