A couple knocked on my door today looking for the owners of a cat that had been living in their garden for a week. They rent and couldn't keep the poor girl. They have door knocked High St East Maitland (where they live) and the surrounding area. I have taken the poor girl in to keep her safe until her home is found.

I believe she is definitely someone's pet. Very small but young adult, living in the area as Dave and I have seen her around before. Extremely affectionate and happy around people. Seems in good health however has obviously lost weight I can feel spine and ribs. She is very hungry at the moment. A dark tabby shorthair photo below.

If anyone has any information or knows this girl, please PM or email me vicki@crazyfiasco.com or call us on 02 49344463 even if it's just to hand her over for rehoming if necessary. I believe she is someones pet but perhaps hasn't been home in a while. She will be taken to the vets during the week to check for a chip.

First thought was that she has a home (I mean we have spotted her around the past year) and we are forcing her inside. But the couple that found her said she had been basically living in their back yard for the past week and they felt she must be lost. She feels skinny enough to have been without much food for the past couple of weeks. I have seen her on a driveway on High St but the couple tried all the houses there. I hope she hasn't been 'left behind' if you know what I mean.

Will be making up flyers tomorrow to see if we get any response.
