Hi all! I am new and I absolutely love this page! First off, I am new in the cat world. I bought a kitty (ragdoll) about almost 2 years ago. He is my very first cat. I named him Prince and I canīt tell you how playfull, cuddly and sweet he is!

The only problem I have with him is that he sheds too much! So every so often I take him to the vet to get his hair cut. Heīs had it done a couple of times but in order to get his hair cut and bathed, they give him something to sleep because he can get real agressive. This time it wasnīt any different but the only thing I noticed different this time is that as he was coming out of anestesia and as I sat by him trying to pet him he growled and hissed and turned his head to bite me! So I left him alone. Anybody has any idea why this might me? Itīs the first time he growls like this coming out of anestesia.

Welcome to CW......Sounds like it was a reaction to the anaesthetic and he was not yet fully conscious. Otherwsie i have no idea.

Have you thought about learning how to groom him so that it is a less stressful time when he moults....I do understand though that he gets clipped off as some cats have very heavy coats.
