I took Garfield to the vet this morning, because he has lost some weight, but was always hungry. I tried feeding him more, and the vet had me worm him even though his fecal came back normal.
So she drew blood, and ran a urinalysis. His blood came back normal, but he is really dehydrated, and his urine, has a lot of protien, and some sugar in it. He has to stay overnite for IV fluid, with an antibiotic, and she is going to run more tests. My vet thinks he is on the border of diabetes.
Has anybody dealt with anything like this?
Thanks catmagic3.gif catmagic3.gif catmagic3.gif

Well, I just go off the phone with the vet, and Its his kidneys. Fo rsome reason Garfield is not removing the protien form his kidneys correctly.
So if anybody can offer some websites or suggestions so I can find out more about this I would appreciate it.
Thanks for the catmagic3.gif all.
