Newbie And New Cat Owner

Hi All,
Im Witchyjules and Im a new cat owner from Wollongong, NSW. Never had a cat before so im sooooooooo grateful I found you guys on the net. Ive only ever had dogs and as I live in an apartment with my other half I bought myself a cat, who I called Sookie (True Blood Fan here) from the local RSPCA shelter about 2 weeks ago. Its very different to owning a dog as I have found out but I wouldnt have it any other way. I guess im finding out about her as I go but like I said im glad Ive found this forum so I can learn more. happydance.gif

Your first cat? Oh you are in for a treat. She will keep her independence while still adoring you. Her affection can't be bought with food and pats, like a dog....but she's gladly purr and rub against you and let you know you are worthy of her love once she trusts you.....and you won't have to do a thing - except be her slave!

Welcome to CW I was in your position with no experience 12 months ago am now owned by 2 ragdolls named (as you can see )clayand mish...I dont know how I would have managed except from coming in here and learning what to do so good luck and enjoy Sookie...I also come from the Gong! Bye Betty

hi, I'm new here too AND new to cats - I'm a converted dog lover. It is very different, although Beama's a Burmese and very affectionate, I have had to learn not to take it to heart that he doesn't worship the ground I walk on like dogs do. Your new baby looks very pretty!

Hi and welcat.gif I found this forum about 1 and a half year ago when i got my first cat Daisy. I too was new to having cats. This place was purrrfect! It helped me in soo many ways. and just reading everyones posts i learned a lot about cats and I now have just rescued my 3rd cat!! I am a true convert to be a cat lover!
