Riley is a 6 year old pedigreed Chocolate Burmese boy. He is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated etc.
He is looking for a new home where he can be spoiled and live a nice quiet, relaxed life as he deserves. He would be best in a house with no children, perhaps with an older person/couple, and preferably no other cats already living in the house.
He needs to be kept as an indoor only cat, where he would be happy sleeping away the day on a comfy bed or couch and keeping you company!
He is slighty reserved when he first meets someone new, but soon warms up and loves to snuggle. He just wants someone of his own to love!
Riley also has a best buddy, Snow, who is a 4 year old desexed male DSH. Snow is pure white and totally deaf. Riley and Snow can often be found cuddled up together. Snow is a little bit nervous but is a lovely natured boy and being deaf, he also needs to be 100% indoors.
These boys are in no danger and are happy to wait for the perfect home to come along.
Where they are now they are at the bottom of the pecking order in a very full and busy home and they really do deserve better - they would just love to be spoiled!
If you think you could offer the type of home they need, please feel free to contact me and we can have a chat. Genuine enquiries only please.
Please also pass on my details to anyone else you think might be perfect.
Thanks!

P.S. This is one of the hardest decisions I have had to make for a long time - but it is the best decision for these very special boys.

Ok, guys - I need your help!

I have had a lady enquire from Perth - I was hoping to find someone closer who could come and meet the boys and me them.

I'm not sure how they would handle the flight - and I think I'd feel really bad sending them off into the unknown....

What would you do?

What does your gut tell you? Personally, I'd probably wait for a local home, but trust your instincts. Perhaps you could ask someone in Perth to check them out for you?

ETA: Heidi, your inbox is full. Can you send me a PM, I need to ask you something!!

If it was me they would not go. The only two retirees that i have sent Interstate both families came to meet them here...I just can't send them that far easily....sometimes I want to visit them after they have settled down.

Having said that you may have some difficulty finding a home where both can be together - especially given their age and that one is "special".....go with your feelings.

Good luck finding homes for these two boys Heidi, it must have been very hard for you to reach this decision , I know how you feel, its very hard to keep neuters with breeding girls, they are just too hormonall.

Thanks for all your feedback.

Where else would you advertise to find these boys a good home?

I have put something on Petlink, and I might do up a flyer for the vets - but I also don't want to advertise and just get anyone!

I'm in no hurry, but would love to see the boys settled in a new home with the right people.

If anyone in Sydney knows of anyone in a situation where they might be able to offer the perfect home - please let me know!

(Eric now travels regularly to Brisbane, Canberra and Melbourne - so I guess these places would not be out of the question if the right family was there - he could hand deliver).
