Ode to Boomer On His First Birthday
October 21, 2004
Hail to Boomer our Sable Burmese,
A beautiful bad boy,
Who always does just as he please.
He's a smoocher and moocher,
A thief of our hearts,
Who would have thought
A kitty could be so smart?
Six pounds of runaway fun and hi jinx,
He climbs and he jumps
Just like a linx.
In a frying pan,
On the stove he does sleep.
While stealing tomatoes,
He makes nary a peep.
Here in the States the weather gets colder and colder
And today Boomer is his first year older.
Impossible to spoil him even more today
'cause we treat him like a prince every day.
So snuggle close to Eartha, your cousin
While we fete you with birthday treats by the dozen.

Thanks, Gail. This site has so many wonderful people and kitties on it that it was pure pleasure preparing Boomer's little love note. Wonderful how fast the word gets out!
