Hi All,

I need some advice, my little princess is sick. helpsmilie.gif

For the past few days she has had an upset tummy (and I dont know whats causing it) she keeps having to run to her litter tray and she is throwing up her food too. Since the first time I noticed she had an upset tummy I stopped giving her whiskas milk and just had her drinking water and eating biscuits, but it hasn't helped.

Is there anything I can do to help settle her tummy, I'm worried she is going to start getting dehydrated if it doesnt stop in the next day or so. no.gif

Bland food is the way to go when kitties have a tummy upset...like boiled/steamed chicken...but if she cant keep it down I would be taking her to the vet.

I'm sorry to hear Meeka is sick - such a worry when our furries are not well. I would be taking her to the vet's. Maybe it's nothing, but it's always better to make sure that all the basis are covered. Sending heaps of positive thoughts your way and Meeka's way! catmagic3.gif

She could have a bug - and might need a vet visit.
An occassional pewk is normal for cats, but not over a few days repeatedly and with the tray visits too!
Don't let it go on too long please.

Do her ears feel hot? Does she have a temperature? Is she keeping any food down and is she still behaving fairly happy?

If it's a digestion problem, get some slippery elm from the health food shop and add some to her wet food. I make up a gravy-like mixture and just mix it in - 1.5 tsp to 1/4 cup of filtered water and simply add a teaspoon to food.

I've found that dried biscuits don't agree with Hershey and the only way he tolerates them is if he has slippery elm as well - bikkies are only a treat after he's eaten his meat.

Just called the vet to book her an appointment for tomorrow. They said in the mean time, take away her food and just make sure she has plenty of fresh water avalaible. They said that 24 hour fasting can help to settle cats tummys.

Hope its nothing serious.
