So I took Lady to the vets this morning as she felt hotter than usual, she was really clingy, projectile vomiting everywhere and she had diarrhea. The vet that is in this town annoyed me so much while we were there.
They told me there was nothing wrong with her and that she will be fine and to give her time to actually recover before coming in to see them. I persisted and explained that she has allergies and things like that but they didn't seem to think it was that.
Now that we are home, Lady is scratching at her stomach and I am sure it has to be her allergies as she had been trying to share the other cats food last night even though they are separated when eating.
So now I have to try and find a different vet for her to visit as obviously the first one doesn't understand about how she has had this before and I just needed her to have something to get her a bit better ranting.gif

Murrumbeena isn't far from the city though is it? and kind of south eastish? Maybe you could make an appointment at the Burwood Rd Clinic for Cats in Hawthorn. They are very good and very affordable. Carol is our hero! She is the one helping us with all of Taya's problems and getting her diet sorted out. I find she has so much time to really listen to what our concerns are. Everytime we go in, Taya gets weighed, her temperature taken and her condition assessed - we don't even get that from our doctors LOL!! Sometimes it can take a bit to get through on phone - they can be busy. The number is 0398191468.

Meanwhile poor Lady and poor you! I'd be worried and very frustrated at that response. Give her time to recover before coming - what don't they want to see sick cats?!!! What if she needs a little help recovering? I would be very upset at that too.

Actually house sitting at my parents at the moment while they are away. It's in Wangaratta and a small country town sad.gif We ended up finding a different vet who specializes in small animals rather than anything with 4 legs. She gave us medication for Lady and some to have on hand in case of an emergency, since it is a fair way to the vet since I am out on a farm.

Lady is currently resting. She is still not well but she is starting to perk up and asking for some food so hopefully she should be okay soon.

Doctors and vets make me so mad when they don't listen!!! mad.gif

A friend of mine took her little boy to the doctor. He's not quite two, and was not well. The doctor told her that he was just looking for attention and to cuddle him more! Next day she ended up at ER where it turned out he had a terrible ear infection!

Animals and small children rely on the people who know them best to seek assistance when something is wrong. When the people who are supposed to be helping won't listen..... grrrrrrrrrrr thumbdown.gif

I hope that the meds that the new vet has supplied has helped and that she feels better soon catmagic3.gif
