Well its not long now before Horatio arrives, either 20th or 27th jumping06.gif jumping06.gif and I am looking for opinions/advice etc on introductions. Phoenix is turning 1 tomorrow so she is still our baby girl and kitten like.

Would you seperate them, (seeing as Phoenix has been through hell and back since being a wee one,)
or just when we are not at home. We dont Phoenix left out or stressed which i assume she will be. (Matt will be leaving his job on first of December and can take him with him to his studio during the day and bring him home at night atleast until he is a big boy.)

So should we go slowly with the introductions?
Playing time do this together? or seperately

I know they probably sound silly but its been 15 yrs since we had a wee one, from memory Tiffany took to Tzar like a duck to water or a mother to her child she loved him and it was an instant bond which we hope Phoenix has with Horatio. I suppose it all depends with time and patiencs, but any advice suggestions would be fantastic
Cheers
Cherie

On the 21st we are collecting our new baby who will be 12 weeks old. Our current baby is 9 months old.

Recently there was a thread in this very forum on "The Cat Coach". I believe it was Nov 1st. It had a link to a site/blog with excellent advice which I intend to follow.

I like it when things are explained to me and i believe that site did a very good job of it :-)

cheers - and enjoy your new baby! I'm hanging out for mine!!

am sure she will love the new playmate, and hopefully you don't need to go too slow like you would if she was coming into an older household, but fingers crossed for a smooth transition for you
