Never had a cat do this before, so this is new to me. Im trying to be carefull with her food, so im not sure whats causing it. Any ideas on how to help or at least make them Not stink so much!!

Could just be her getting used to the food.

My baby Paddy-Lim used to fart a lot when he was a kitten, mainly when he was relaxed.

Good luck with it, it's not pleasant! But I would think she will probs settle down in a couple of days, has she just swapped food or something?

Heheh, Dweezil has only farted once that we're aware of. One time we picked him up and this little squeak came out of his bottom. LOL.

Monty used to fart more, but hasn't seemed to do it much lately, which is good. He'd tend to do it when relaxing on our bed (of course, when we were in or on it, lol), and they were completely silent. He'd suddenly leave the room, then Dweezil if he was there, would run out too, and then we'd be like..."Do you smell somethi-...MONTY FARTED!!!" lol.

she only came to live with me yesterday from danii in melbourne. Ive been trying to feed her small amounts and keep to what dani use to feed her though. She did get to the boys beed strips this morning so that probably didnt help. She does have rc dry food (as thats what my others are on) but im pretty sure danni fed her something different. Ive only fed her very small amounts of the rc because of that.
Shes ok in the litter box, so ill just have to use lots of air freshener for a while!!

Aww, she's so new!! I'd say it's just her little tummy getting used to different foods and a new routine and surroundings.

My youngest girl Georgia was a SHOCKER as a young kitten (she's almost 8 months now).
She could clear a room in a second and send guests gaging!! LOL
As she has grown older things have improved in that department, but some kittens just have foul bowels!
I hope for your sake it settles soon.

I kid. Really. I do. Puss that use to have awful farts. I think he did it on purpose at some stages, as he knew we would blame my brother!

Cant help but say hello .... do you not think maybe its all a bit much ... the meeting face to face with the others ..... I was concerned at those pics. How did she get to the boys beef strips?

Slow and steady and why did you let her mix straight away? Sometimes it has nothing to do with food.

Winscar, I understand ur concern. I dint realize she had escaped her room and gone into the kitchen where the boys are fed. She's very small and quick and darts between ur legs. She's had carefull and supervised visits with the others and only with the boys now. It wasn't straight away either, but yes it was on the same day. she is kept in the lounge or bedroom with us then alternates with the others so they have some time with us too. They are the easiest 2 rooms in the unit to keep fully closed up and seperated.

I can't help with the farting but I am a believer in letting new cats/kittens mix as soon as possible. They usually sort themselves out very quickly and for this reason, I give a 14 day settling in period guarantee. Slow intros can be very painful and drawn out.

I judge it by the cat/s I guess. The other 3 are use to other cats and enjoy the visits to the door by neighnours cats. Tiffany is use to other cats also. She's never left alone with them at the moment and has only had a few times where it was all of them together and in those cases it was me and my oh in the room just incase. She's fine this morning, no farts yet, had her feed, checked her litter and no upset tummy. Her and Jackson are together this morning after thier feeds and they're both relaxed. They won't be all left alone for a while yet.
