Hasnt the news been dreadful this week about this foot and mouth disease, its so awful that so many cattle will be affected. I feel sorry for some of these farmers as some of them must get really attached to the animals. I see they have cancelled the classic car rally in Penrith next weekend as there is a bit of an agricultural show as well, so sad

But its still safe to go in the countryside. so they say, but that car ralley has been going for years.
Its really awful, and i do feel for the farmers too.

I was in England the last time this happened and it is really devastating for all concerned...and really that is everyone not just the farmers.....I hope they nip this outbreak in the bud as soon as possible as it must break the heart of farmers to lose a whole herd like that.

Wishing all my UK friends well as they handle yet another drama - it has not been a kind year so far.

I also feel sorry for the farmers,the work and money that they have put into their livelihood must be devastating to lose.
