Hi everyone, I am new here and happy I have found this site. I feel so lucky having found my two new friends, felix and scamper. I was driving by a vet during my work break and went in to see if by chance they had and cats that needed a home. Two little brothers I just had to take both home wouldn't feel right leaving one. One of them, sitting on me as I write, the little guy has mange. I took him to the vet I got him from, he had soars all over his neck and ears. They said he has mange, they are being great, treating both my cats and not charging me, they feel terrible. When I was younger I remember cats getting this and had to be put down so when I heard that word I just wanted to cry, this loving little boy. They said it is treatable but he will start to look worse befor he gets better, I am also treating th brother he has a tiny patch behind an ear. I am still so scared I love these little guys. Has anyone had to battle this before.

No but I am pleased that the vet is taking responsibility and treating them. Good luck and thank you for caring for these little fellows.

Welcome to Cat World smile.gif

Good for you for wanting to adopt these cats. I hope they both feel much healthier and happier ASAP. Good luck.

All the very best and you have lovely little cats came into your life because you are so kind.
I hope they are cured of the mange (used to be the end for many cats many years ago) but thank goodness can be treated today. Many of us have had problems with our cats and understand just how you are feeling but great the Vet. is on your side and doing the right thing.
All the very best to you all.
Phyl.
