Has anyone in NZ had their cat microchipped?
I was hoping to get an idea of what is considered a reasonable price for microchipping in cats/kittens in NZ.

Hi. Most vets will charge around the $50-60 mark. This should include submission of the registration to the pet database. Check out this link: http://www.animalregister.co.nz/ It has a lot of info on there.

Here in the US it is about 30$ at the vets, but I went to the humane society clinic and got Pandia chipped for 10 bucks. What a deal, and they already registered her with the company. When done at the vets I had to pay again to register them. Best of Luck to you.

Ouch!$50-$60??? Here, it costs $20-$50 to get them done. Monash council has 2 offers, the more public one is if you take a cat/dog to the RSPCA they'll do it for $15.
The other offer is to show up at the council offices and get vouchers for $10 chipping at the RSPCA if you make an appointment. I've talked to the events coordinator, she's agreed that if I show up at the million paws walk with the voucher, they'll do it for the discount price.
