A friend of mine who lives in Hornchurch sent me this earlier and he's stunned at the weather in the UK, he said yesterday he turned off his central heating because it was sunny for a bit and he thought that was the end to cold weather. Permission granted by owner of photo to post this.

I know how he feels,i didn't turn the heating off but it has only been on in the mornings for an hour and in the night for an hour, the weather has been a lot milder lately and now snow.Julia Steve is right you could end up coming to frozen wastelands or glorious spring and you could even get a mixture of both in the same week.

Heather, my UK friend can't understand why we Australian's love snow so much. Probably because I was born and raised in the UK for 15 years of my life before coming out here to live. I really miss the snow. He thinks I'm crazy. I know you've mentioned you've lived there also. So we both must be crazy. 1.gif

Yep, my dad lives in London and woke up to so much snow this morning he couldn't get up his garden. It's been snowing on & off all day but all melted now, but more forecast for next week. To be honest it's not that unusual to get snow in April, but it is weird that we got up to 17 degrees during last week & now we'll be at minus temps overnight! Crazy weather.

I lived in the UK for over 13 years a long time ago and while snow is pretty, it is also very dangerous and rotted many of my boots!! It was probably the salt they used to put down. LOL So I can live without it.

Steve what a beautiful photo of the pigeon, it's so clear. I love the way you've captured the snow falling as well.

Joan.
