I'm in love with this breed! I'd really love a kitten.

Hi,
You would be able to buy a Maine Coon Breeding pair in Europe from any number of countries. To come from Australia to your area in Europe would be very difficult .There are lovely Maine Coons in Germany,Denmark,Austria, and Holland just to name a few countries where the breed is well established.Good Luck in your quest. If you are serious about breeding Maine Coons ,I suggest buying the best book on Cat Breeding that you can get.Amazon.com has hundreds of books on the topic. Also go to cat shows in your area and ask lots of questions from friendly Breeders. Good Luck! Kind Regards Robbie

just my opinion as an european
i do not think it is that easy to get a -good-breeding pair,Maine Coon-from a reputable breeder-to a newcomer-in europe..
sure there may be breeders who sell ..but if you start a cattery you better take your time..and living in romania may not be of help..that is like a person from Asia would ask for a breeding pair from Australia--smile.gif
many Maine Coon breeders-in Hungary- to import their cats from the USA..
there are cat clubs in Romania-as far as I know-but it is hardly anything alike in australia..it is only at the start of a cat fancy there.. so it would be rather difficult to find a breeder from elsewhere-(showing there)

There are some who actualy come here to the Sofisticat shows, but are pretty few.
I know it's hard to start, that's why i'm looking for all the advice i can get and everything i can learn from the folks who know how this is done and how it's supposed to be started smile.gif
