Nz National Anthem

No offence intended to any of our NZ folk, but I heard on the radio that you can sing your National Anthem to the words of "Twinkle twinkle little star", and I have been singing it to myself for the last two days now...
I love the actual melody, but didn't know the words, and now that I know some words that fit the melody, I can't stop! Does anyone know how to stop that blasted song from going round and round and round in my head?

Really? Cos it doesn't sound anything like the twinkle twinkle little star tune I know?
Anyone know how to get part of the AUSTRALIAN national anthem out of your head?
I can only remember one line of it and the tune and it keeps playing over and over!
It's so irritating having only partial songs in my head.
"Somewhere over the rainbow" usually does the trick for me. At least I know all the words to that one!

I thought the National Anthem of NZ was God Save the Queen!! When did they change?
Hehehe Rosanne, you can tell you don't watch any sport with Aus V NZ!

No Doreen, but I thought that they always did the Haka (spelling?) - and that was their unofficial NA!! LOL
You know, I wouldn't be surprised if some KIWIs actually DO think that's our real anthem... it's certainly better known, in my travel experience, than the national anthem itself.
Nothing would surprise me!
