Hello,
We are going away for 3 weeks in January/February and have been trying to sort out options for what to do with Misty, our 1 year old Munchkin. We haven't had any luck getting friends to come look after her or take her in for that time as most of them are going to be away then as well.
We are hoping that someone out there has some suggestions on options, or could recommend a good cattery in the Brisbane.
Thanks,
Shianne from Brisbane

Thanks, CatsRU.
But I found only 2 posts in Cat Chat, one is about a cattery in Sydney and the other is cattery for sale near Brisbane.......... so no luck finding useful info there.
Please if anybody have experience or any recommendation would be nice. We just don't want to randomly pick a cattery and hope for the best. Preferably a location that's as close to Brisbane-Metro area as possible.
Thanks in advance!

Start with the Yellow Pages and ring around - then once you have found someone with room available (this will be a busy time of the year) start visiting them and get a feel for them yourself - talking to the owners, viewing their accommodation will give you a good idea of whether or not you will feel comfortable leaving your cat there. Make sure also your cat's vaccinations are well up to date (have them redone at least 2 weeks before boarding if you need to have them done).

my vet has a small cattery out the back. i can highly recommend them as vets, and my cats have stayed there a couple of times. they're only a couple km's from the CBD - give them a ring to see if they've got any space. wilston vet - http://www.wilstonve...ges/cattery.php
