Bobo has been missing since Tuesday 6th Jan 09 from the Balmoral side of Mosman, NSW.
He was last seen wearing his collar which is pale blue with tags attached. He is also microchipped.
Bobo is small in size, only 9 months old, fluffy smokey grey with graduating brown and a white patch on his chest and on his belly between his back legs. He is a long hair cross breed, and has tufts of light grey comming from his ears - see profile pic.
We miss him dearly and are sick with worry so any news would be greatly appreciated.
Have enlisted the help of Pet Search so if you could please see their site www.petsearch.com.au for more info and pictures of him.

Please let me know if you have seen him or have any helpful advice

Many thanks

Thanks so much for your thoughts..
I think I saw him (something small dark grey and cat like) in the neighbours garden last night. There are lots of places to hide there including sandstone rock 'caves' so I had a look and called and called him, took his fav toy and some food but nothing.
I have heard that if he is scraed he may hide from me too and not answer. I could get a trap but there are lots of cats in the area including my 2 older boys so not sure if this would work.
Does anyone have any sucsess stories / ideas I could try?
Desperate times here confused1.gif

Okay ..early in the morning or later in the afternoon to dusk go out into the garden ,shake his food and call him ..wait and listen..I hope you've let all your neighbours know he's missing and asked them to keep an eye out for him. Also put flyers in letterboxes around the block and leaflets at the vets ,local bulletin boards the shops nearby. I also think the local senior citz club are worth asking and leaving a picture and your number. Call the pound and the local shelters, and the vets.
Good luck..You may need to borrow a trap ..better to let out other cats caught by mistake than not catch him.

"Ditto" to all that fleabag has said ... But, you must keep at it! You may be lucky enough to 'strike gold' straight off, but, it may take a while .... Stay positive and stay calm. Go out morning, noon and night .. whenever you can. Talk to your neighbours and people you meet while out looking (carry a photo to show them all). Place flyers everywhere (and I mean everywhere!) - local shops, vets, telegraph poles, bus shelters, schools, etc, etc - wherever you possibly can!
Fingers crossed and sending lots of catmagic3.gif for Bobo to come home soon!

I'm sorry your Bobo is missing.

Don't give up on calling for him as when I was a teenager, my cat Scruffy went missing for 11 days and although my parents thought I was crazy, I called and called every night. Then one morning he was home.

I'm hoping you have the same result and he is back home with you soon.

Also, if you can spend any time just sitting outside without moving, that might help. Once my old cat went missing for days, I used to wander up and down the street calling his name but he never came. I knew he was in the area because the neighbours had spotted him. But he must have been scared and my frantic pacing and calling must have stressed him out. Then one day I sat outside with a book and periodically called him. I was outside for a good 3 hours and eventually he came out of the bushes slowly. When we made eye contact I called him as calmly as I could and then as soon as he was close enough I picked him up and locked him in the house! I think sitting still helped because he could watch me for a bit, then figure out who I was and come over at his own pace.

I don't know if this will help but it's worth a try.

Goodluck! Prayers for Bobo's safe return!

Keep trying, especially in the evening and at night, and most importantly, don't give up! There are so many stories of cats being found days and weeks after they go missing, just keep trying, call and stay quiet and wait to see if you can hear him, the call him again. Good luck, sending heaps of catmagic3.gif for his safe return.

Sending you heaps more catmagic3.gif , we just had a good news story this morning about a cat being found after 2 months, so keep looking, and keep replacing those posters, hopefully someone will see Bobo and call you. Perhaps you can offer a reward as well, that might get people's attention, don't specify the amount. Good luck!
