badday.gif badday.gif My bautiful Del was a little on the small side for breeding, and after two caeserians decided the
kindest thing to do was have find a loving home for her. The new owner was very keen to have her, and promised to have her deaexed yesterday. I gave her explicit instructions on caring for her, constantly reminding her how timid Del was and to keep her quiet until she (Del) decided to come out. (She had always been a totally indoor cat and not at all worldly)

My 'friend' came to visit yesterday and let slip that Del had been missing since Friday, but she was too scared to tell me. If I had been able to start a search Friday, there was a possibility she would have heard my voice and come to me, but after 4 days, the chances are remote. I tried this morning but got a feeling that she was no longer around.

Her survival in 37degree heat is also unlikely; so please, if anyone sees a chocolate brmese in the Cranbourne North area, please contact me on 59957562 badday.gif badday.gif badday.gif

Do not give up hope, get flyers up around and do a letterbox drop ..contact the local vet ,pound and put leaflets up in local shops ..if she's so timid she is probably under a house or hiding very close ..get her new owner to leave water out and biccies.
Keep looking ..I had my inside only devon girl go missing in winter and rainy weather..I was sure she'd freeze ..but she made herself at home on a neighbours sunny back verandah..only running for cover if seen. BUT altho she would answer my call I ended up getting a cat-trap to catch her...my local vet supplied it.

we found our scared, chocolate burmese after 3 months, so please dont give up...

she might have head for home (as the birds fly), so i'd concentrate on that area initially...

also he had lost a lot of condition, and looked more like a siamese than a burmese by the time we found him... but he still did his "flop" over when he saw us.

good luck
x

Full sympathy. Don't give up hope though, because a lovely gentleman handed in my Poker this morning. I suspect the heat made him hide somewhere and he probably emerged last night down the street.

Does she like your other cats? Just an idea but maybe if there were familar scents around it might draw her back?

I'm sure she would emerge before she got really sick and someone WILL find her. It's pretty obvious when a cat is not a real stray and someone will be caring for it!

Good luck,
