Hi all... our beautiful Black Oriental boy, Samson, went missing early evening of January 20th when he was allowed out for his garden visit. I got side tracked after having a particularly nasty fall shortly afterwards. Any Wangaratta (Vic) members are asked to be on the lookout for him. He is fully registered and microchipped as well. He wears a diamente collar (Blue). He has a white patch in his groin area. Samson has never done this before and is a particularly stunning boy and we feel he may have been picked up.

Sam is an excellent climber and highly demanding. This could upset anyone who has him if not a seasoned Siamese owner. We are hoping for the best and have done everything humanly possible to locate him, including radio and newspaper advertising.

We are trying not to lose hope. Our Balinese boy is fretting for his companion (as are we).

I have just registered Samson with Petsearch. I have also found out that just because he was originally microchipped and recorded on the NSW Companion Animal Register (our details are recorded correctly as Victoria), it is likely that his registration would not show up in Victoria!!! I have to register him separately for Victoria as there is no guarantee that any vet would check against the NSW register.

I am horrified as I expected that once an animal is registered with the appropriate bodies, the info is shared readily. How many other owners think this too?

Another 50 fliers have gone out.

Caroline, I didn't realise that it was your boy that was lost when I met you yesterday. I am sorry. I also just realised where you are from & I was complaining about 2.3 hrs travel time

We had a good run home... Avatar slept happily the whole way and we enjoyed cuddles together. The trip didn't seem too bad. Yes, it is my Samson who is still missing. I still feel in my heart that he was stolen. I just hope that whoever has him surrenders him to a proper pet shelter. His temperament is such that anyone unaccustomed to the antics of a prolific climber, furniture and curtain remodeller and toileting-challenged cat will be sorely tested. Actually, he could audition for Circus Soleil and be quite successful. We miss him greatly...
