My Lost Mooks

I have been at my new place for 3 months now. I am getting married this Sat and my future in laws have come to stay from interstate. After countless times telling them to close the sliding door behind them in case my cat runs they did not do so. So she ran. I have not seen her since Fri morning, and i walk around the streets calling her and shaking dry food box. SHe is 9 yrs old and does not really venture past the patio. If she goes wondering st night, she is back by 5am in morning, but no this time. My neighbour has a huge block with lots of trees and places to hide and e said i can keep checking when i like. I am so upset, she is never gone this long, and it is 35 degrees outside.
i don't know what to do. I just want her home so i can give her a huge cuddle.

I am terribly sorry to hear of your ordeal. We are also in that position too. You could try the following as these are the things I have done:
Ring the Vet clinic(s) wherever you live and provide a detailed description of your cat (hopefully there is a microchip in place). Telephone the nearest animal welfare agency and let them know all the details, including your own details. The local Council or Shire Ranger is also an option. Prepare a flyer for the Cat, including a good picture and detailed description that would greatly assist identification. Include telephone contact numbers. I put our address but not everyone agrees with this. I also advertised on Community Radio in the lost pet segment and put a paid advertisement in our local paper. Word of mouth has been great as it gets the locals thinking about it. Anything is worth a try. Finally, we have walked, driven and bicycled everywhere in our attempt to find him. Perhaps your In-laws might start hunting, too, as they will see how upset you are.
Best wishes and I hope that your baby does find his way home soon.

Hey, I am really sorry to hear about your missing cat
Balimum has some excellent suggestions. What sort of cat is she? And what area are you in?
Fingers, Toes, Eyes and Paws crossed that Mooks comes home soon.
