The last two days we have been preparing the slab for the aquapoxy, the heat has nearly killed us!! The concreter for the two big slabs has rung to say its too hot for him to work, and the chippy didn't think it was such a big job so booked other work, its all going to no.gif &^%$^!!
These are the before and after photos of the internal floor of the shed, and the outdoor area that is being enclosed, the new floor is great, smooth and easy to keep clean, lets hope it performs to its product specifications and stays on permanently.......Hopefully the interior will be built by next week and my big cattery will have been installed in its slab, then the fn starts building the big outdoor rus!

Wow. Be careful tho, cats have a way of multiplying:
(space / cats) * catlove = not enough space

Okay we've progressed a bit in the last few days despite some setbacks with suppliers etc. The shed is getting insulation and a new internal skin of melamine and colorbond for ease of cleaning and to help keep it temperate. Next week the internal pens of 2m square will go in with dutch doors and safety runs and infrared herat lamps fr the winter, and shelves for climbing and sitting on. The slab has gone down for the big outside run an the trench dug for the electricals for the heating, that should be up in the next few days, fingers crossed I will have my cats home this weekend. When I can eventually afford it the big outdoor runs will be attached to the outside pens and the outdoor are enclosed with mesh for the girls.

Be careful Michele. I can think of two teenagers who may well fight you for the shed once it is all lined and insulated! We see a fantastic kitten room and they see a fantastic teenage retreat away from pesky parents and chores, lol. The shed is looking fantastic, the melamine will reflect lots of light and be so easy to clean.

Over my dead body!! They already have the palace down the other end of the house, complete with spa in the bathroom, which they haven't worked out how to turn on yet rolleyes.gif
I wasn't that keen on the melamine idea at first, worrying that it would be hard to keep neat but we have found some nifty plastic stripping to use as joiners.

Wow, have just seen your shed for the first time, very impressive. I have been slowly planning one along the same lines. We have a huge 17 metre tracter shed right on the house that needs to come down one day.
I would love to see how the epoxy works on your floor as I was going to have all my runs redone with it. You have done a lot of great planning. Would love to talk to you about the insulation one day. We have a double roof on our cattery with insulation between. Works really well with the airconditioner.
Well look forward to your progress. A really great job!
In the meantime I will keep dreaming lol..
