Oh that is so wonderful for you. Did he recognise you after all this time? I am sure he would have. Tell us the story about how he was reunited with you.

Thanks for all the nice responses.

I have no idea where he has been. My husband got a phone call from Kelmscott veterinary hospital to say that they had our dog. Andrew had to ask what dog and they said the microchip said his name was Zeus. hubby was gobsmacked and had to explain to them he has been missing for almost three years. he was found wandering thursday night up a very busy street in kelmscott. a veterinary nurse saw him on her way home and stopped to see if she could call him over. as soon as she opened her car door he jumped in. he was taken to the vet this morning and i gratefully went and picked him up. as soon as he was brougt into the waiting room he saw me and ran and jumped into my lap cry_1.gif He is a little worse for wear only weighing 49kgs has weepy eyes, ear infection scars all over back legs and is very stiff in his hips but his nature hasn't changed at all. As soon as he was picked up we went to the vet for a once over had vacc, heart worm , intestinal worming and fleas treated. have been given ointment for eyes and ear wash for ears. he has had a bath and a jolly good feed and is currently sleeping onthe lounge room floor with my son suprvising. i am over teh moon as is my husband to have his boy home.

he did recognise me as apperas none of his temperment has changed, he has fitted back into the household as if he has never left though doesn't seem to understand that my two kids are easily knocked over keeps leaning on toddler and knocking her over lol.

We are oh so glad to have him home and it goes to show that microchips do come in handy.

edited to add. i forgot people don't know hoe he went missing he was stolen from my backyard so it is a dream come true to have him home

This is a wonderful story and gives us hope for our Sammy. I believe that our boy has been stolen too. I wish you all the best with your little man and hope that he is soon restored to great health... Animation.gif

it definately is a dream to have him home. i can't believe he has fitted back in so well. my moggie who was just a kitten when he went missing has not even growled etc is actually going up to him (not sure if he remembers him) but is certainly acting like it.
