Sorry for all the posts, getting lots of calls today sadly sad.gif A lady who has been affected by fires can no longer take care of her cat who is pregnant. Can anyone help to take this little cat in and care for her and her kittens until they are old enough for adoption? The mother will also be up for adoption as unfortunately due to her circumstances and age she can no longer care for her. I know it is a huge ask but as cat shelters are simply over whelmed right now her chances of being taken in are slim. If anyone can help please call me on 0401 823 651 or email natty.h@bigpond.com. Thanks in advance.

I dont know a great deal about her at this stage, though i am guessing she is a beautiful little moggy from the discussions Nat and i have had. I am busy sorting out her accommodation as we speak so as if and when she gets here her and her kittens have a good little home to live in. No need to be thanked - I am sure that someone would do the same for me and one of mine if the situation arose that i needed the help. I am just hoping we can get her to me and get her and her babies the help they need at the moment.

You dont need to remind me i am only 5foot one and half inches tall Terri-Ann LMAO smiley_lol.gif I told Nat earlier today that i could take in a couple of cats as well, and that i have another breeder who can take in one or two if need arises. I think its only natural to offer support if you can give it. I have spent the last few days damn near close to tears any time I have watched the news or seen the paper, it could one day be me, and i beleive strongly in the theory of "what goes around comes back around", thus being proved to me the other day when my dog got out, a neighbour around the corner had found him and popped him in her yard waiting for someone to come looking for him, and i have done the same for others in the past.

Just want to say a humungous thank you to Cherie, she will be picking up Princess and the babies (they were born yesterday wouldnt you know it, too impatient to wait) today so Im looking forward to meeting her. Princess is an absolute sweetheart, crazy affectionate even after what she has been through and I have no doubt she will win someones heart. Apart from occassionally trodding on her babies she is a good mum considering she is still a baby herself at 11 months. He actual owner really doesnt want to part with her and loves her very much but she doesnt have a lot of choice unfortunately. Cherie has been so kind to offer her to visit Princess if she likes. So thanks again Cherie, you are a god send and I cannot tell you how much it means to me to have some help with fostering during this crazy time. Aside from taking in Princess she is also taking in another foster boy for me who is a grumpy old man so Cherie is going to have her work cut out for her smile.gif Did I say thank you, THANK YOU!!!

I feel its the least i can do, and you guys dont need to thank me, what goes around comes back around, and i am sure one day if it is me then someone will do the same for me. The lady sounded so depressed on the phone last night when i talked to her about having to give up her cat to a stranger, the least i could offer her was to come and visit as well. That way she can see Princess and bubs and know that I am doing my best for them.
Heather is right- Nat is crazy run off her feet at the moment, and she deserves a round of applause- she is working so hard and has so many to look after right now, this really is something i feel i should be doing.
I cant wait to meet Nat- which i will be doing later today when i go to pick up the tribe. I am so excited to be able to offer my help to someone, and meet someone who i think will become a great friend who loves animals as much as i do. Cat-World is a great place, we have so many members here who have love for animals and will help out if they can- I would hate to imagine where the world would be without people like all of us in it.
