I had to vent so thought what better place then here, l worked tonight and we are collecting for the bushfire appeal, customers can donate their frequent customer points to the appeal so the company pays the money, anyway l have had so many people tell me that they are not doing it as they think enough money has been raised! Is there such a thing as enough ranting.gif ranting.gif mad17.gif

Anyway l thought that was a disgusting thing to say, but maybe thats just me

There are so many selfish people pulling the human race down,
I learnt that big time today, details are in another thread,

Us good people just need to take pride in not being one of them, yes.gif

Cheers,paul

i heard something like that today in coles when i was coming home from vic rds people where talking about the bush fires etc and said why should we donate and so on . i shot them a glance and said i lost a friend in those fires and if you had a heart you would donate as these people have lost loved ones and the homes they lived in.

flowers.gif Congrats on the 100 posts-now there is a new cw area open to you lol.

Everyone on this forum and all the people I have met this week are so shocked and moved have donated material things, and money to appeal funds.

These selfish people -well the universe is watching............karma is being made by them...........one day it will be their turn........the answer is some of these humans have never suffered a loss.

seems like yesterday you were sitting on 76 posts. Darn this now means you can access all areas ...and I cant write rude things about you (as if the mods would let me lol) ...

congrats on the first 100 your next milestone is 500 .... get hopping lol

Yes some seem to think that others can do all the hard yakka and donating and that why should they have to contribute when more than enough seems to be given ... their turn will come and one day they could lose all and learn what it means to have nothing!!!

Anyone who thinks that "enough" money has been raised should think again.
With over 1000 homes destroyed, every posession within those homes and the associated tanks, sheds, fencing etc. the cost to rebuild is going to be enormous. Yes, the government is giving away a lot of money right now but we as a nation are all responsible for looking after each other, not sitting back and waiting for the Government to fix the mess.
What about the damage to public infrastructure such as roads, power/electricity lines, public buildings such as Schools, Post Offices and Police Stations?

I've already heard people complaining about the extended news coverage each night, 'how much longer do we have to hear about this' sort of comments. Also saying they can't afford to donate any money, really every little bit helps no matter how small it might be.

I wonder how they would feel if they were in the same position as those poor fire affected people.

Not a good attitude these people have. I know one person in Adelaide who is not wealthy or earns big money, but who never the less donated One weeks Gross Weekly Wage to help the Victorian Victims although it could be little afforded (Person said they will just eat less for a few months to try and make it up) What a contrast in attitudes and behaviour! Perhaps one day they will be in need.
