Don't forget the telethon is on tonight ch.9 from 7.30pm. To raise money for red cross.
It sounds huge - some big names will be performing and joining.
John Williamson just said on 9 news that he plans to sing True Blue - now that will be a huge tear inducer.
I was meant to go to a 50th dinner tomorrow night which i cancelled. The cost was $50 for dinner. At the moment i cannot fathom paying that amount on a freakin dinner....so i am donating the same amount tonight during the telethon!

I have the telethon up in the corner of my screen on PC TV,
There is no place like Australia or maybe better put no peolple like Australians,
Of course I do acknowledge the wonderful caring people that are not Aussies here on CW also
I am not sure what the rest of the world knows about this disaster so far but to my knowledge this has been one of our worst disasters ever and believe the death toll is higher than any other Australian disaster in my lifetime and maybe ever,
It is so sad, the darkest week I ever remember,
I also want to say that my heart also goes out for those flooded out in Queensland at the moment and you guys are not forgotton,
I am so proud to be an Aussie right now and even in the worst economic uncertain times ever the support is still absolutaly incredible,
I still visit the grave of my apprentice mate that lost his life during Adelaides ash wednesday back in 83,
And on a scale our ash wednesday was small compared to what has happened in Victoria,
Our country sure is getting a beating right now
Regards,paul

It was great, I sang loud and proud when Colin Hay opened with Down Under. Never again will that song be associated with the America's Cup.
World coverage has been great, I have been watching the American today shows. Ellen has mentioned it the last 2 days on her show as Portia's family is from Bendigo. Yesterday she showed Sam the koala getting his drink and today she showed the video footage of it and also asked her viewers to make a donation. She has something setup on her website.
Its very comforting to know that the world is there to help us.
