Heard a call for help by RSPCA on the radio. We're going to the Superstore this afternoon so I rang them and they sounded almost desperate for goods.

Paper towels, blankets, carriers - whatever, they'll take it!

Does anyone know of a list of goods that are really required down there?

Lucy's brand new tube of Metacam will be going! He would have grabbed it over the phone if he could even though I told him it's only a tiny amount (brand new though).

Don't know if already opened products are of any use. I have a large container of Neem rinse and most of a bottle of Malaseb...

Charley's cat carrier will be going to a good cause. I think he'd approve. Silly of me to want to hang on to his blankets and things.... Will they worry that I haven't been able to get all of his fur out in the wash???

Pillow cases... what else?

I need new syringes for dosing so will buy some extra to send too.

Does anyone know of collection points in SA for goods?
also if anyone is trying to donate online to RSPCA Victoria we managed to do so late last night, I think the site was overloaded earlier, just keep trying.
all my cousins are finally out of danger and while it came very close, they thankfully lost nothing. Is a great community spirit they said of sharing and caring for each other.
When in is said and done makes us very grateful for what we have how precious each day is.
I will not strive for bigger and better material things but be grateful for the things that matter most.

By the sounds of it, I would think any RSPCA shelter will be collecting. I wasn't sure about the stores linked to RSPCA but they're all in it together!

Thanks Charley Cat. I will call them.
I will call my vet and see if we can organise something up here, we are at the base of the Adelaide Hills.
To all have a safe day and take care of each other.
