Hi everyone,

What a crazy & sad 3 weeks it has been since Black Saturday. Out of all the sadness & despair however, we have seen such overwhelming kindness & solidarity from the Australian Community. One of these heartwarming acts of kindness is from our very own Maurie & Jenny Spano from Funky Cat. At the Caulfield Pet Expo, Maurie presented RSPCA with a medium hollow (in a lovely natural colour scheme - brown trunk, green leaves) that he wanted to donate to the RSPCA Bushfire Appeal.
I am now very pleased & excited to let everyone know that we will be auctioning this item in conjunction with some help from Sensis Trading Post. The item will go live on March 16 and all proceeds from the auction of this gorgeous Funky Hollow will go to the RSPCA Bushfire Appeal.
So, if you're in the market for a medium Funky Hollow, this is your opportunity to be a great cat-parent while helping a worthy cause! When I have the link & site details, I will update this post.

A huge thanks to Maurie & Jenny for donating this wonderful hollow!
Sarah

Maurie & Jenny have made a wonderful donation (which I am coveting as it sits in my office!). Whether they donate money to any charity it irrelevant - the only point of importance in this thread is the wonderful donation they have made to help the RSPCA Bushfire Appeal.

Once I have the online auction site/link I will post it here. It would be great if this gorgeous work of art went to a Cat World person. I would love to bid for it, but obviously cannot - I will however be very jealous of the winner though!

Thanks again to Maurie & Jenny!

I think it is a wonderful supportive gesture from Maurie and Jenny.

I am not surprised at their generousity because as a firm friend of these two lovely people and someone who has owned several of their products (and BTW knowing how much effort goes into the production of each item) I think it is a marvellousl gesture.....It is also not that surprising as they have several times supported various causes with similar donations....no small feat when you are a small business
