Hi I have lurked for a while looking at other peoples enclosures. We finally went for it and it became bigger and bigger. Our poor old Fugly cat got beaten up by a feral on the long weekend and we had to rush him to the emergency vet. His has recovered well but we just don't want it to happen again.
Basically we enclosed the side of the house using a retaining wall as one side because we didn't want to drill into the walls we made a frame and covered it in net it is about 6 metres long.
We then built a tunnel about 9 metres long out to the front garden . This tunnel connects to a large netted area about 4 x 5 metres big.
We finished today and both cats spent a long time in the netted area and in the tunnel and obviously enjoyed it.
The total cost was probably $600.

You have done well and now your Fugly will be safe. I am sure he will be a lot happier outside knowing he is safe.

That's fantastic and you must be so relieved....the cost will more than pay for a couple of vet visits....congratulations.

It's just great! I had a look at your whole album, love the ones of the giggling builders, and the name, the Catatorium - wonderful! Is Fugly the Siamese or the bicolour? They both look pretty happy and relaxed with it, anyway.

It is nice the way they have a cool side area with concrete to lay on (I've found mine like to lay ont he concrete) and a garden area wioth bushes to play in too. And you'll have lots of fun watching them play out there.

And the peace of mind is incredible, and beyond price (as the Mastercard ad says LOL!) knowing they are safe and can still enjoy the outdoors. And as Heather said, it's only the cost of a couple of vet visits.
