Hi have been trying to figure out which is the best claw trimmers, I was going to purchase some, as many years ago we used baby clippers on Casper and Jinx.

I went to the local Petstock and they have Cat Trimmers - Masterpet brand $10.40, not sure whether they are any good, would like ones that are least obtrusive to puss.

Any suggestions would be great thanks

Totally agree, mini nail clippers are the go. I find I have to clip them at right angles to the nail so it doesn't shatter the nail but instead gives a clean cut. Make sure they are super sharp so it cuts rather than squishes.

As Neo grows I'm finding it harder to find the nail safely underneath all that paw fluff, I think its time for a paw fur trim....

I/we also just use our human nail clippers, they work well,
Talk about paw fluff, flowers.gif
Our Raggies claws can be hard to find, they also have the additional tuffs of hair between there toes,

Cheers,Paul

Ditto on the human clippers. Works very well. I used have a pair of special cat ones but I found them more tricky as you had to get the claw fully in the hole with the blade. If they wriggled you could do more damage.

Just a quick question.
How often do you trim your kittys claws?
I watched Deb do Kaylas just recently but I don't think I have the confidence to perform it myself.
I guess its a perfect opportunity to take Kayla back for a visit to Deb. whome.gif

Sheebs if you just keep playing with Kayla and her tootsies ie pressing on the paw so she flexes it open you will be fine and well she is used to it already.

Trust me you dont need an excuse to go visit Deb's hehe ... well I don't. Maybe we can align a meet whistle.gif

Hey Paul don't you just love the fluff stuff between the pads hehe too cute for me.

I do mine every week and just take off the pointy tip, I do it along with the brushing and sponge over every saturday, then we are ready for the show if we have on sunday and it take my daughter and I about 20 mins to do all 4 cats they are so use to it now, mind you I have balinese and OLH so not much grooming required, I use a pair of cat clippers I got from my vet a number of years ago, they are sharp so nip of the point very easily without shattering the sheath, I think they were about $20 to $25, but I have had them for years now.
