Hi all

I am in the planning stage for our new cat enclosure and was after a few recommendations for safe plants.

There are already a couple of plants growing in the location, a lemongrass plant and a grapevine, are these suitable/safe for starters?

Also is treated pine a safe wood for inside the enclosure?

As regards lemongrass, I do know that people can cut themselves on it if they don't handle it carefully.

Cat grass, catnip and cat mint are fine for cats, of course, as are orchids and roses.

Another question you need to ask is which plants will be safe from your cats. You may need to put a chicken wire cover over their favourites so they don't eat the lot.

I had lomandra in my last enclosure ..they clump up well, I put a bunch in the corner slightly too close together 5 all together, so they formed tunnels for the cats to hide in, sleep in or just play king of the hungle.
