As the girls and Roger got along so well, I set his hutch up in the cat run so they could play together outside.
I went out there yesterday afternoon to play with him, and saw he was lounging in the sun - which was quite normal for him....however he didn't come to me when I called him. It was then I realized that he wasn't moving at all
I have no idea what happend to him. He was perfectly happy only a few hours before hand, munching away on a carrot. He was in such a relaxed position, just like he would normally be in when sunning himself. I am at a loss to know what took our beautiful boy away from us.
The girls keep looking out my bedroom window (which is where the cat run is) looking for their friend. I think Poppy in particular will really miss him.
We have buried him in our front garden, and the kids have written, and drawn pictures on a paver for him which has been placed on top of his grave.
RIP Roger, you were truely one in a million
