Dear Harley,

I only had you for a short time - 4 months - but it seemed like much longer. You were so small and sweet when we found you at CatRescue. You came along and sat on my foot so I just had to pick you up and you immediately starting purring and relaxed in my arms like you were meant to be there. I had no choice - you had to come home with me!

You were never truly well the whole time we had you and were very little for your age but you were so loving. Following mummy everywhere and purring your little heart out no matter what. It was so hard to see you getting sicker and sicker and even harder to say goodbye. I miss you heaps my little pirate.

Love Mummy

Carolyn big hugs from here.

He was a beautiful little fellow. Take comfort in knowing how much he loved you. Even though for a short time to us but as Jann said a lifetime to him.

When I reminded my hubby last night that it was a year yesterday since we said goodbye to Harley (didn't want to have him worry about me all day and how I was coping) he couldn't believe it. They really do touch your heart in a special way even if you only have them for a short time. It was very intense with Harley because he was sick for about 3 of the 4 months we had him. I had to follow him around and clean up after him and clean him up too - poor baby. Yet a more loving, sweet natured kitten you would never find. The vet said she wished you could bottle temperament like his.
