I've been offline for a couple of days as things here have been very sad.
A girl of 16 that was my daughter's project partner in school committed suicide on Tuesday.
Her family emigrated here from India not so long ago. She was a cheerleader, an intelligent girl, and well liked.
Please send her family some and some comforting thoughts to my daughter. Thanks.

We still can't quite believe she's gone. She was lovely, and obviously troubled, but her friends had no clue.
How selfish, I think, but then, who can know the recesses of the human heart?
There may be many things we will never know about her and what motivated her to such an end.

I cannot imagine her mother's grief. It will never end for her.
