Hello all you lovely cat lovers

I must apologise that this was not an avenue that I had immediately thought of, ...
I logged on for other reasons, and read through topics- which led me here.

I have been MIA for some time now... my poor baby Kitty's are suffering as much as my involvement in any forum of personal interest.

Since the 7th Feb fires, I have almost relocated to Kinglake..(we are doing roughly 70-80 hours per week so its too far to drive home every day)... I do come home weekends,.. where my poor babies meet me at the door with so many cuddles and such comforting love that honestly is the only thing that brings me back in tough with MY own life...
My partner and I run the community meals in Kinglake to aide in recovery of the town's people and moral.
The idea is more to get them together than to feed them.... to share and to heal... very much as we do here for our beloved cats

We have been voluntary individuals since the Sunday following the fire... the 8th.
As we do not have any organisation behind us, obtaining assistance has been very very difficult!!!

If anyone has any spare time, it would be much appreciated... nothing complicated...just preparing veggies for the evening meal of about 150 people..... an hour or 6 hours...what ever you have the time for..would be gold to us!!!!
At present, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are our most difficult days.

please pm me....or give me a call on 0420203272 if you would like to lend a hand

Ciao for now

Tamika

Such a wonderful thing you are doing. If I was near you, I'd be there to help. Instead sending all my best wishes to you and everyone else. It may not be in the news anymore but everyone affected by the fires are still in my thoughts each and every day.
