My Gorgeous Gus is gone, my heart will never mend. After a long painful battle with Orijen poisoning that started in December 2008, to 3 months of not being able to walk, he died on Friday 26 of June, only just over 4 years old. He never got to walk properly or run this year, I hand fed him, hydrated him by syringe, he endured incontinence, bottom washes, physio, vet visits, medicine and now he is gone. The pain and grief of him not being here is to much, what will I do with out my sweet Gus. My first Birman, where do I start, chief washer of me, Pierre and Maurice.
Top finder and chewer of tinsel balls, Gus hardly slept always in my field of vision, ready to chat and tell me off and to get a hurry on to take him out to his cat run. First up and last to bed. Soft silky coat, magnificent long tail, blue knowing eyes and wonderful whiskers. Empty arms or lap Gus was there, trouble Gus was there, never ending play that was Gus.
Gus had the IT factor, the room lit up when he came in, my he was beautiful, his dignity, grace and silliness will never be matched or forgotten. Gus bought endless love, laughter and joy into my heart and home, my love has gone, I am forever heartbroken , Pierre is fretting ,Maurice is looking for him. My home is lonely ,boring and quiet. Go Gus, now you can run and run, don't ever stop my lovely boy.
Wendy

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss, what a terrible thing to have happenned,
I would like to share with you a poem, that I wrote for my first birman Ashley when he passed away.

For your Gus, Rainbow bridge.gif

Your Soft Blue eyes stole my heart,

We were never meant to be apart,

Im so glad to have shared your days,

You showed your love in so many ways,

A cat whos soul is joined with mine,

We will be togeather again, in time

My memories now, will hold me through,

Untill once again ,I can be with you.
