My 11yr old cat Tangu has dissapeared from Gordon ACT, she has been gone since tuesday and we miss her dearly, please if any one has any information please help. I have contact R.S.P.C.A, Animal Control, The Pound and all local vet's. She is a member of our family and it feels so weird here without her.

Hope Tangu is ok. Have any neighbors gone away? She may be trapped inside a garage.

Thanx for your post, I have checked with the neighbours and asked them to check their sheds and garages. I have also called her name out down the drains in our street.

If you haven't done so already would suggest
-lots of flyers/posters with her pic- in letterboxes and places people go (a poster in a petrol station got one of my cats back to her last home)
-contact Petsearch- they are great for advice and offer a good service
http://www.petsearch....au/default.asp
-Read through the links at the top of this section on lost cat behaviour- sometimes cats will still hide when their owner is nearby and calling them
-dont just ring the pound and RSPCA- go and visit to check if she is there
-never give up
I hope she is microchipped- not all cats of her age are
Hope to see a 'she is home' post very soon
Best wishes

Hi there,

Thanx for that info, I just contacted pet search. I have gone in to the RSPCA and will again next week, apparently that's were all cat's in Canberra go. She is also posted on Gumtree, Find my cat, RSPCA and TAMS website. It is just tearing me up I really hope she is safe and warm somewhere or had a pain free trip to Heaven sad.gif

If it any encouragement- my girl survived for nearly 6 weeks when she was lost- and she is a little Persian!
She was only a few houses away from her home
There are lots of good news stories in this part of the forums
Hoping for good news about your girl too

Good luck! I'm in Belconnen, so it's unlikely I'll see her. Hope she's home soon.
