I've been building cat fences for over 5 years now!!! Thats a very long frustrating time to be getting splinters!!!
My poor kids are now resigned to being indoor cats entirely, which is pretty sad and they still beg for outdoors- (having lost 3 on the road, no chance I'm letting them go no matter how depressed they get!)
I initially tried different methods with DIY materials...such as plumbing pipe, bird netting, flexible trellis and god knows what else!
Finally I purchased cat netting made by a netting specialist in Port Melbourne...
My Dartanion is a very clever boy and takes his time to study each new addition to fencing, thinks about it and successfully finds a flaw in my defenses!!
The other three rely on his brain and follow him after watching how he did it!!!
GRRRRRRRRR
I know many of you are experts and wouldn't take a risk on losing your kitties...\
As someone mentioned in the Oscillot thread- a guarantee would be great, but I guess impossible.... what do you guys feel is the most successful method??

I would go with a professionally built enclosure and my favourite manufacturer in Victoria is Betta Pet Enclosures http://www.bettapets...om.au/index.htm
They will come out, measure and custom make to suit your area.....Wire is the way to go if you have intrepid escapees.....

And the recent thread http://www.cat-world...showtopic=98602 shows an extremely sturdy enclosure. If he is that determined you will have to get something at least as strong as the 2 examples shown already, home made just won't cut it with him.
