IF
If it should be....
If it should be that I grow frail and weak,
and pain should keep me from my sleep,
then you must do what must be done,
for we know this last battle can't be won.

You will be sad, I understand,
but don't let grief then stay your hand,
for this day, more than the rest,
your love and friendship must stand the test.

We've had so many happy years,
what is to come can hold no fears.
Would you want me to suffer? So,
when the time comes, please let me go.

Take me where my needs they'll tend,
only stay with me until the end,
and hold me firm and speak to me,
until my eyes no longer see.

It is a kindness that you do to me,
although my tail it's last has waved,
from pain and suffering I have been saved.

Do not grieve, it should be you,
who must decide this thing to do.
We've been so close, we two these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.

This is one I wrote for my Tiffany

OUR BEAUTIFUL TIFFANY
How life changed when you arrived
One look and I knew you were mine and ours
For we have been blessed
You were a part of our lives
For 16 years
And loved unconditionally

You touched our lives
We miss you

You snuggled under the covers on the coldest of nights
Always with a look from those big eyes
Begging for me to lift the covers back
So you could sleep at our feet
You kept us warm and
And we felt loved

You touched our lives
We miss you

Always there to greet us when we came home
Sitting on the windowsill
Like a bookend
Meowing until we opened the door
Then tripping us over to get to the kitchen

You touched our lives
We miss you

You knew when we were sad
And in your own way you would comfort us
With your loving look
The nudge of your head
We felt at peace

You touched our lives
We miss you

Our beautiful girl
Your gone forever
But not from our hearts
You will always be there close by
Knowing this
We will love you forever

You touched our lives
We miss you
MUM , DAD AND TZAR

thank you for sharing these lovely words with us, I know it has tears flowing for me, I think it would be the same of all of us who have lost our much loved pets, and is sonething to hold onto for those of us who have elderly ones (we have a lovely rotty who is 11)
