Hi,
I have lost my cat called Ginger. He heralds from Rosehill NSW but we originally brought him with us from Canada. As his name suggests, he is a ginger tabby tom cat. One of the hardest things I've come across during my search is trying to find him amongst the millions of other ginger tabby tom cats. What do you do when you lose a cat with no distinguishing marks?! He was wearing a black collar when he went missing, but no name tag, which he had lost previously along with numerous other collars. He is microchipped and registered but I have not heard a thing so I can only assume that he has not been picked up. He is quite shy of strangers. Anyway, he has been missing since the 30th of March and I have nearly given up hope. I have his info and a picture listed on Petsearch. I don't know how to upload a picture here. Can anyone help me find my cat?!!!

It has been a while but I'd do a doorknock of all the neighbours ,put up posters ,ask at the vet if you can put up a poster, ring the pound every week ..there are some good suggestions on this site for lost cats ...
Don't give up hope ..Call him morning and night and shake food to see if he's around.

My Ginger is mcirochipped - and his registration details should be up to date...now...I did have the bad experience of calling the council to put a lost notice on his registration only to find that they hadn't even registered him!!!! of course, they had happily taken my $200 or whatever it was for the registration, so I was upset about that and that may have been a serious issue in the early days of his disapearance but it just goes to show that you can't trust the council and you have to check up on them in these matters.
I have done a door knock, and handed out hundreds of flyers all around the neighbourhood. maybe it's time for another lot of flyers - just to keep people searching. I did have a lot of very sympathetic responses and went looking at a number of ginger cats that weren't mine.
thankyou for your support!!!

You need to keep onto them ..and do a neighbourhood sweep to remind people he's lost ...ask at the local senior citz for them to keep an eye open for him ..

I have finally figured out how to share pictures on the internet! So here is a picture of my lost Ginge. confused1.gif if you think you've seen him, let me know. he went missing from Rosehill NSW. he could possibly be anywhere in the Parramatta district. It's been hard to sleep without little Ginge curled up at my feet!

Ginger kids are pretty resourceful, he could be living just around the corner..ask the vet to put a pic on their notice board ..or the corner shop, maybe even the free local paper who love lost stories ...ring the pounds and shelters regularly ..remind them he's missing!

Yes that is a good idea Bronnie - put his pic in your local paper and that might jog someone's memory. Hugs.

that's a good idea - I will contact my local paper, and my local shop has taken down the last poster I had so I will give them a new one.
